Hungary’s opposition turned private frustration into public power by giving people something to do. With 124 days until the midterms, the anti-Trump coalition has to do the same.
Well put. We are electing more anti Democrat establishment people. That is a start in turning the Democrats into a people power. I personally hate going door to door, so hopefully others will. I am going to a No Kings protest on Friday. I tell every one to register & vote.
My aunt JoAnn told us all a story about raising our cousin who wanted to know how to become popular at school. Joann explained that becoming well-liked means elevating others, writing notes to them, paying them compliments and attention, making them feel special, and doing things for them that make them happy. My cousin’s response was, “I knew it would be something hard!” 😂 That’s where I am with this article. 😫
All of these are very helpful insights. The American voters must trust in themselves, connect, trust in one another, get the quotidian tasks done and leave no district unvisited. There are strong voices on the Left- AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Mallory McMorrow, Peggy Flanagan, Zohran Mamdani. There are strong voices in the Center- Jon Ossoff, Josh Stein, James Talarico, Josh Turek, Phil Weiser, Keisha Lance Bottoms. There are even a few, honest voices on the Right- Tom Massie, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Marjorie Taylor Greene, There is a credible groundwork for a coalition of the commons.
Excellent analysis, observations and thoughts. Thanks as always.
Bravo, thank you for documenting the fight for the voice of the people.
I second that! 👏🏼
Thank you, Péter. I hope you are feeling much better today.
