Wow, all I can say is I totally agree with you. As in all things we will see what happens. But is is a good start. You write very well & get to the point.
Peter Magyar is off to a great start. At some point, he will face a crossroads. Will he follow the straight path being illuminated by men like Mark Carney, or New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, or will he become jaded and end up mesmerized by power, as have Ethiopia's Abiy Ahmed or El Salvador's Nayib Bukele? My money is on the former. He has already seen the dead end offered by authoritarianism, from the inside.
I’ve written two posts about how Orban insiders started cashing out stock market earnings back in late 2025. This appeared to be an effort to start stealing assets and getting them out of the country. Your stock market is clearly reflecting an asset raid on the country. If you understand market capitalization, you will see that how the Orban allies were turning unearned wealth into real money and assets. If that is accurate this stealing is going create major problems for future growth. If not exposed now it will appear that the current political actions are harming the economy. I would do a deep analysis of where I see theft, starting with observations of stock sales by Orban insider and examining what making is the current market so up and down.
Indeed Wow! Mr. Dósa, your article is so beautifully, poetically, and compellingly written. It teaches, inspires, and informs. Thank you for your writing! I could only hope my country, the US, will someday return to the democracy that Magyar and others are restoring to Hungary. The leader carries the vision, inspires and oversees...the other many people that make governments function carry the weight of execution. Corruption, kleptocracy, autocracy is like a spreading cancer, but luckily there are now treatments for cancer and Hungary is showing the world how to cure a democracy.

Mark Carney could certainly look at the BSE and see that Hungary's assets where being raided from December 2025 to present.

Excellent analysis Péter. I also enjoyed the Carmelita walk-around. Magyar seems to feel the positive wind, and have fantasy to keep on track.
